About
I am Roger Li, a product designer currently pursuing a Master of Education at Lakehead University while bringing product, operations, and service experience into my design work.
Profile
I care about the quiet parts of product design: the structure behind a flow, the words that lower uncertainty, the hierarchy that helps people know where to look, and the accessibility details that make a product more dependable.
My work sits between UX thinking, UI craft, front-end awareness, and real operational context. I like shaping ideas into interfaces that feel polished, but still practical enough to build, manage, and use.
Experience & Education
My path combines product design practice, past administrative service experience, and graduate study in education. That mix keeps my design perspective close to people, systems, and everyday use.
Product design experience focused on simplifying digital experiences, improving interface clarity, and shaping product flows with practical implementation awareness.
Past administrator experience that strengthens my understanding of service operations, customer communication, scheduling, records, and the small details that make work systems usable.
Currently studying a Master of Education, bringing a deeper interest in learning, accessibility, communication, and how people understand complex information.
How I Work
I like design that has a clear skeleton and a human surface. The interface should feel considered without asking the user to admire it before they can use it.
I start by separating the real user goal from the noise around it, then turn that into a simpler product structure.
I design flows, layouts, and interface states that make the next action easier to understand.
I tune spacing, language, visual rhythm, and responsive behavior until the experience feels calm and usable.
I am interested in product teams and projects where design can make complicated services feel more understandable. I work best when I can connect strategy, structure, visual craft, and implementation reality.
I also use small experiments to sharpen my taste and test interaction ideas. Some of those live in the Play section as a lighter companion to the formal portfolio work.
